Payment Policy

  • Our 2025-2026 Season consists of 30 weeks of each class. There is an annual registration fee of $25 per student in order to cover administrative costs.

    • Families with more than one child enrolled will have a discounted registration fee for each additional child. The second child's registration fee would be $10, the third child's registration fee would be $5. The maximum registration fee for a family with multiple enrolled children is $40.

      • A family with 3 siblings would have a total registration fee of $40. As would a family of 4, 5, and so forth.

  • Tuition is automatically processed on the 10th of each month. Any alterations to payment method or drops of a class must be completed before the 9th in order to prevent the automatic charge on the 10th.

    • Upon registering and agreeing to our policies (including payment), the registrant understands that all automatic payments cannot  be refunded if they neglected to make alterations before the 9th of the month.

  • Tuition is the same each month regardless of how many classes fall within that month. Tuition is calculated based on the number of classes in the 9-month season from October through June and divided into 9 equal monthly payments for convenience.

    •  (A list of studio closures for holidays and breaks for the current season can be found on the calendar page. One will also be attached in the "Welcome" email sent out to all families upon registration in a class).

  • If a scheduled class needs to be cancelled due to inclement weather or other unexpected emergencies, a comparable makeup class option will be provided OR the class will be rescheduled for after the 2025-2026 session has concluded.

  • At the time of registration, families will be charged the registration fee for the season along with 2 installments of tuition. This is a non-refundable transaction- no exceptions. Should a family choose to drop an enrolled class, they will need to do (via written email) before the 9th of the  month. Otherwise, the next month of tuition will automatically be charged on the 10th. The dancer can and is encouraged to still attend class through what they've paid for.

    • For example, a student registered on the first day of classes (10/27) will pay their registration fee and 2 months of tuition. The next installment will automatically be paid the 10th of the next month (12/10).

    • A student who enrolls later in the year (for example, 11/27) will pay their registration fee and 2 months of tuition. The next installment will automatically be paid the 10th of the next month (in this example, 1/10/26).

  • Families have the *option to pay for tuition in full upon registration, which would result in an automatically applied 5% discount at the time of payment. Families choosing this payment option will still pay the annual registration fee at the time of payment

  • Dancers enrolling in a session of classes

  • When registering in a session (for example: our 5 week Adult "Absolute" Beginner Ballet), you will only be charged the annual registration fee and the class tuition.

  • Should you enroll in another session later in the 2025-2026 school year or summer, you will not be charged another registration fee upon enrollment. Payment for both (Monday Adult Beginner/Intermediate Ballet & Thursday Adult Absolute Beginner Ballet) adult session classes are due November 10th. If an alternative payment isn't provided by 11/09, the card on file will be charged the registration fee and tuition on file.

  • All families must provide a card on file in their parent portal for billing. This is done to hold and secure your dancer's spot in class. Registrants who prefer to pay by cash, check, or an alternate card must do so before the 9th of the month. Otherwise, the card on file will be charged automatically on the billing date of the 10th and cannot be refunded.

  • Registration and tuition are non-refundable

Student Policies

  • Students enrolled in Graceful Academy of Dance are expected to be kind and respectful to all dancers, instructors, and people they interact with on our premises.

  • Please aim to be at the studio, dressed, and ready at least 5 minutes prior to your class start time out of respect for your instructor and the rest of your fellow dancers. Classes start promptly at their scheduled time. Every minute is vital for your dancer's training and the beginning of class acts as the warmup to get your dancer ready for the natural progression of class.

    • Dancers who are more than 10 minutes late to their class may be asked to sit out and observe, as they would have missed warm-up and therefore cannot safely participate in class for that day.

  • Students must have the correct attire in order to participate in class. If a part of the uniform is missing- with the exception of those taking a trial class-the student may be asked to sit out and observe.

    • Students enrolled in Emerald, Aquamarine, Amethyst, Sapphire, Ruby, and Diamond can wear any leotard with tights underneath and ballet slippers  (or pointe shoes for pointe class). Skirts may be worn over a dancer's leotard as long as they still allow visibility of the dancers' lines and movements. We have tights and ballet slippers in various sizes available for purchase.

    • Our youngest dancers enrolled in Pre-Primary, Primary A, and Primary B/C should wear a leotard with attached skirt, tights, and ballet slippers. All off these can be purchased at the front desk. If you plan to purchase any part of the uniform before class, we recommend you call ahead so we can check inventory and prepare to have your needed size(s).

    • Adult Dancers can wear what makes them feel most confident and comfortable to participate in ballet class. A leotard and tights (either under/over) can be worn if desired. Alternatively, adult dancers can wear any workout attire (such as leggings, tank tops, shirts, etc) that they can freely move in. Restrictive clothing such as denim is not permitted. Please avoid wearing overly baggy clothing so that the instructor can see your lines and offer corrections for your own technique development and safety. The only requirement for participation in a ballet class are ballet slippers- to protect our studio facility and your body. Ballet slippers can be purchased at the front desk. If you plan to purchase any part of the uniform before class, we recommend you call ahead so we can check inventory and prepare to have your needed size(s). We do recommend you keep your hair back to optimize your dance experience, but this policy is not enforced for adult dancers at Graceful Academy of Dance. Feel free to browse the hair tutorials playlist provided for our student dancers below.

  • Hair of all lengths and types must be secured out of the dancer's face for minimal distraction and maximum preparation to dance their best. There are multiple ways to achieve this. Graceful Academy of Dance offers several workshops throughout the year for ballet bun tutorials so that students can be self-sufficient in preparation for class. We also have created a YouTube playlist to assist at home practice and styling.

  • Instructors may allow students to wear warmups for the first few minutes of class if it is particularly cold. Students are expected to still be in uniform but wear their warmups over top so they can easily be removed after the designated time.

  • Students may NOT exit the building in only a leotard and tights. This is enforced for your dancers safety and comfort. Please consider wearing warmups over your uniform when you enter and exit Graceful Academy of Dance.

  • Any dance shoes are NOT permitted to be worn outside for any reason. This is enforced to protect our facility (floors) and your product longevity. NO street shoes can be worn inside the dance studio on the marley floor for any reason.

  • We strongly encourage dancers to have a shoe covering in their dance bag (such as socks, slip on shoes, or dance booties) so that if they need to use the restroom during class time, they can slip them over their shoes. This is not an enforced policy, but a reccomendation to protect your property (dance shoes) quality and to help keep our facilities clean.

  • Graceful Academy of Dance cannot be responsible for childcare of young dancers and dancers outside of their scheduled class time. We ask that all students are picked up promptly as we cannot offer supervision of all students for extended periods after their scheduled class time. Parents are welcome to use our lobby during their dancer's scheduled class time, including our refrigerator and microwave. If you are running late to pick up your dancer after their class, please notify the studio office so we know not to dismiss your child after their class is finished.

  • Makeup classes can be scheduled for any classes a dancer misses by calling the front desk to find a comparable class-either a class of the same level or a lower level class.

  • Graceful Academy of Dance does have a refrigerator and microwave available to students and families while they are in class or classes for the day. Please be respectful of the lobby space and clean up after any spills that you cause. Food not removed at the end of the class week (Thursday) will be removed in efforts to keep a tidy area and avoid spoiled smells.

    • Food and drinks (other than water) are NOT permitted in the studio or restroom. Please enjoy your snacks and beverages neatly in the lobby only.
