From early on in her classical ballet training, Grace's instructor Nancy Dow instilled a deep appreciation for the  history and significance of many ballets. The time spent on learning not only steps, but the meaning and intentions behind  each movement  inspired Grace to "dive into" the artistic elements of ballets. Even to this day, Grace will have lovely in depth conversations about ballets with Nancy Dow-moments she will forever appreciate and treasure!

This approach helped Grace stand apart from just simply pulling up a video on the internet to perform a series of steps to music- and instead make an effort to seek research on characterization and apply that to her performance in a role. ​

By the time Grace began working with Maria Youskevitch and Kirk Peterson, another pair possessing deep and rich knowledge of classical ballets, they were eager to share their artistic and technical expertise.
